Pre-Primary and Foundation Phase education at its best! By enrolling at King's School, your child will embark on an exciting journey of discovery through a full and stimulating programme! As a school we follow Christian principles and uphold family values but children from all faiths are welcome. Children at King's are very special to us. Our small classes enable teachers to give each child the special attention they deserve. Our Christian teachers feel privileged to play a part in each child's overall development. Children in the Early Childhood Development classes engage in activities that equip them with the necessary skills to prepare them for the Foundation Phase. In the Foundation Phase, we embrace a broad and balanced curriculum that meets the requirements of the Education Department. We also Biblically integrate into the curriculum. We consider the development of Christian character very important in the children. |

Our Movement Programme We realise the important role that movement plays in developing the children's physical and intellectual abilities. Our school is privileged to have a well planned motor therapy programme developed by a qualified motor therapist. The activities ensure that every child develops age-appropriate skills. The programme in the Pre-Primary years ensures that the children have the necessary motor ability to take part in Sport activities that we offer in Grades 1, 2 and 3. |

Continuous assessment and support The independent progress of each child is carefully monitored and parents are kept abreast of their child's development through reports and parent-teacher meetings. We have an open door policy and value the parents input and we encourage them to become involved in their children's education. |

Outings, events and outeach The children also have the opportunity to go on outings and have visitors from the community to the school to enrich the learning that takes place in the classroom. We value having a compassionate and serving attitude towards those in the community. We provide opportunities to encourage the children to express this attitude and reach out to others. The children are also given opportunities to reach out into the community. We have collected clothes for St. Lukes Hospice. We have also helped and socialized with children from Graceland, a school for previously disadvantaged children in Stellenbosch. We have visited an old age home to spoil the residents. |
